Hey everyone! I'm so glad that you and your taste buds came back to join me and mine for today's blog post! If you're constantly busy, having different meals already planned out for each night of the week can help make cooking dinner a lot easier, simpler, and more fun! But it can be hard to come up with templates for each night. My friend, that's where I come in! In this blog post, I've included seven templates to help your week run smoothly!

Let's get started!

SUNDAY: PICNIC NIGHT

Sunday is the perfect night to be family picnic night. Not only is it a super fun family activity, it gives you an excuse to just throw together cheese and turkey sandwiches, potato chips, some veggies and fruits, and call it a day! Also, if you picnic at the park, you can get some exercise in while you're at it. Sounds perfect to me! If you don't want to stray far from your home, you can picnic out on the porch, or if it's too cold, rainy, or dark outside, why not set out a picnic blanket and have a "picnic" inside on the floor of the living room?

MONDAY: BUILD-YOUR-OWN-BURRITO NIGHT

Mondays are always an especially crazy, hectic, day and it's nice to not have to spend too much time on dinner, so a burrito night sounds great to me! Even if you want to make something quick and easy, you may want to let your creative fire out, and you can do that with the burritos by making a flavorful guacamole, making homemade salsa with fresh tomatoes, making ground turkey or ground beef or chicken, and sautéing veggies. Sour cream, black beans, refried beans, shredded Mexican cheese, and rice also work well on the burrito bar.

TUESDAY: PASTA NIGHT

As simple as spaghetti or mac n cheese or as fancy as ravioli or gnocchi, pasta night is a great plan for any given night. If you're feeling tired, go with a quick, easy, pasta dish, if you're feeling motivated, go with something more upscale. You can be so creative with pasta; pouring on a tasty sauce, adding bright veggies, flavorful herbs. and spices can make the noodles shine!

WEDNESDAY: SALAD NIGHT

After pasta night, you might be in the mood for something light. Having a usual salad night is a great way to get your healthy veggies and fruits in. You can be very creative with this if you want to be. You can make your own dressing, you can add all kinds of toppings from hard boiled eggs to croutons to cheese to nuts, and you can make it more filling by adding chicken, tuna, or any kind of fish you want!

THURSDAY: SANDWHICH NIGHT

From BLTs and PB&Js to tuna sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, and chicken sandwiches, there are a lot of options for sandwich night. Along with sandwiches, you could serve up some homemade soup like tomato basil. A sandwich can seem sort of, well, generic if you don't have a really tasty bread. You can get a baguette, a loaf of sourdough, a croissant or whatever kind of bread makes you excited for your sandwich!

FRIDAY: PERSONAL PIZZA NIGHT

If you are feeding kids, pizza is always a great option! You can set up a table full of lots of toppings and let the kids choose what to put on their personal pizza. Some ideas are pepperoni, olives, peppers, cheese, tomato sauce, onions, spinach, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, pineapple, ham, and fresh tomatoes. You can use pita bread for little personal pizza crusts, buy some small pizza crusts at the grocery store, or make your own. If you want to stay on the healthier side, you could buy a whole wheat pizza crust or a whole wheat pizza dough. For toppings, you could try to stick with cheese, tomato sauce, and lots of healthy veggies.

SATURDAY: MOVIE NIGHT

Relax with a cozy Saturday evening movie night! Have some snack foods for dinner. Pop some popcorn, cut apples, serve cubes of cheese, and watch your favorite movie or T-V show. You can make this movie night super cozy with blankets, pillows, and lot's of good friends and family to watch with you.
